Titusville Police have issued a SILVER ALERT for a Lewis Thomas Sharp, 88, of Titusville.

At approximately 10:30 on Thursday, August 22nd 2019, Titusville Police responded to a report that Sharp was missing and a SILVER ALERT was subsequently issued.

Sharp was last seen traveling westbound at the intersection of SR 405 and Barna Avenue, driving a white Lexus 570 SUV, tag # DOLPHIN, and wearing a white long sleeve shirt and blue jeans. In addition, he traveling with two Boston terriers.

Followup, Titusville – 13 Year-Old Seriously Injured After Man Discharges Handgun

A Titusville man was arrested Wednesday night after an investigation by Detectives into the unintentional shooting of a juvenile.

Just before 7PM on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, Titusville Police responded to a report of a 13 year-old boy being accidentally shot at a home on Yorkshire Drive. The boy had been shot in the torso area and was transported to a trauma center by helicopter with serious injuries.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Bryan Gabriel Kelly, 40, of Yorkshire Drive Titusville, was in his home attempting to unload a handgun. He unintentionally discharged the weapon that subsequently struck a 13 year-old child in the home.

Witness statements corroborate the suspect’s description of the incident and investigators found no evidence of a willful or intentional act.

The suspect was booked into Brevard County Jail: Aggravated Child Neglect with Great Bodily Harm, (Felony) $2000.00 bond.

The condition of the child at the time of this release was listed as stable.

Titusville – 13yr old shot in abdomen

Radio traffic in Titusville indicating a teen was shot in the abdomen inside a home somewhere in Titusville. This is an ACTIVE SCENE, more details as we discover.

At this point, it seems the gunshot may have been self inflicted or accidental. There is no threat to the general public.

The 13 yr old is being transported for medical. No other information is available at this time.

BCSO – North responding to threats to life on female caller

Best Western in Titusville – A 19 yr old female caller has stated that her father has made threats to kill her, she is currently locked in a hotel bathroom and unsure of father’s location

Caller states she can hear someone else in room and refuses to exit the bathroom, BSCO is unable to make entry with key, possibly deploying either a ram or axe to enter.

LEO has father on the phone at this time, confirmed NOT in the room, still trying to talk caller out of room.

BCSO has made entry into the room.

Coast Guard/BCSO – Searching for missing boaters

Boaters, Brian McCluney and Justin Walker left from Christopher Columbus boat ramp Friday in a 24-foot center console heading toward “8A” reef.

Coast Guard Station Port Canaveral watchstanders were notified by a family member of the boaters not returning as expected Friday evening.

Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville Command Center watchstanders launched assets including a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium from Station Canaveral, an HC-130 Hercules search plane from Air Station Clearwater and the Coast Guard Cutter Ridley, an 87-foot Patrol Boat to conduct searches.
